Fast Food vs. Slow Food

Slow Food was founded in Italy in the 1980’s as a countermovement to the growth of fast food chains, such as McDonald’s. In order to gain perspective about the nutritional value of Slow Food UW’s meals compared to other options on campus, I compiled an infographic. A screenshot below includes the caloric value of an average meal at Slow Food, McDonald’s and Gordon Commons, a UW Dining Hall. The full infographic also compares fat content, sodium and carbohydrates of each meal.
